5月のMassey Hallでの演奏は、拍手などがとても不自然な感じがしますが、9月のセッションも拍手が入っていますが、こちらは自然な感じです。
B1はMingus作とクレジットされているが、YoumanceのHallelujahにしか聞こえません。全体的な印象は、Powellの全盛期の演奏なのですが、バラードではRoost録音のまるナゾリになっている曲も多く、Powellのバラードは即興ではなく、事前に考え抜かれたものであったことが分かります。Charly ParkerがTake毎に全然違うアドリブを聞かせてくれるのとは対照的です。
