クロードホプキンスは1932年頃からBigBndを率いたEarl Hines張りのピアノを弾くバンドリーダーです。1930年代のピアノは左手の達者なストライドピアノですが、Wallerに比べると右手の存在感が全然ちがっており、2流とはいいませんがまあまあの腕だったのかなと思います。

バンドのアレンジは主にJimmy Mundyだったと思われます。Three Little Wordsは傑作として認知されています。
