1929年から1940年にかけて録音されたChicago Jazzと言えるRecordingを集めた作品ですが、珍しい録音としてHusk O'Hare の録音があります。全員無名のmusicianですが、まあこなれた感じの演奏です。編曲は古臭いものです。Husk O'Hare (1896-1970)は楽器を演奏するわけでも唄を歌う訳でもないのですが、なぜかBand Leaderということになっています。珍しいmucisianとしては、Jack Gardner （1903-1957）は中西部のテリトリーバンドで活躍しました。George Snurpus（1906-1996）は主にWingy Mnonneとの録音が残っています。A9では珍しいEddie Condonの歌が１コーラス聞けます。
